Flow Club Retreat 17/05/25

There is something about starting the day without urgency. No inbox. No list. No need to perform. Just breath, bodies, and a canopy of trees in Llandudno.
We began there. Breathwork simple. Movement slow.
Next was coffee - poured into mismatched mugs, sipped while still barefoot. Plates with fruit and something savoury passed from hand to hand, not posed for content but actually eaten.
Later went for a walk or optional run to Sandy Bay. Some of us took the long way. A few swam, daring the cold. The sea, as always, asked nothing of us in return.
Back at the clubhouse, a nutritious brunch was waiting. Big bowls. Colour. Crunch. Salt. Laughing mid-chew. We sat with full plates and full stories, refilling both slowly.
The rest of the afternoon unfolded in that same unhurried rhythm. No pressure to post. No perfect angles.
We painted watercolour zentangles of spirals and shapes that didn’t need meaning. Kombucha fizzed open. Cheese boards emptied. People lingered in conversations that didn’t orbit around what they do, but who they are.
And underneath it all was a shared feeling... that this matters. Not as a break from life, but as part of it. The reminder that presence isn’t performative. That wellness isn’t aesthetics. That flow doesn’t come from chasing likes or spiralling through dopamine loops online. It comes from this: barefoot mornings, cold swims, movement without mirrors, food made with care, connection without performance - That’s what Flow Club is about.

See you at the next one. Maybe barefoot, maybe not. But hopefully a little more grounded.
